What's for dinner?

The menu at El Ultimo Refugio changes frequently depending on the freshest ingredients we can get at the time. Some items are seasonal, and some vary with daily availability. Please note that we live on an island and product availability is unreliable. Our menu below includes common items and examples, but are not guaranteed to be in stock that night. Contact us the day of for the updated menu.

Tuna Tartare-with pickled ginger, soy and lime. Served over a beetroot puree with green onion and cucumber garnish

Traditional Ceviche- made with local ahi chombo peppers and fresh lime. Served with house made chips.

Grilled Octopus- over eggplant puree with chorizo sausage and fried carrots

Braised Calamari- with roasted tomato and corn salsa

Roasted Beet Salad- with local greens, red onion, goat cheese, figs and a tamarind dressing

Chicken Roulade-with red pepper coulis, mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables

Surf and Turf Skewers- filet mignon and shrimp skewered and grilled with pineapple salsa

Sesame Crusted Seared Tuna-with pickled ginger vinaigrette, coconut rice and sautéed vegetable

Filet Mignon- topped with blue cheese sauce and fried onions, mashed potatoes and vegetables

Red Snapper Filet- with traditional spicy creole sauce, coconut rice and sautéed vegetables

Lobster Risotto-creamy risotto with cherry tomatoes, saffron, edamame, and goat cheese

“Shrimp and Grits”- grilled shrimp served on a homemade polenta cake with bacon and chili oil

Red Curry Calamari-thinly sliced calamari steak with red coconut curry sauce and fresh pineapple, served with coconut rice and vegetables

Miso Crusted Grouper Filet- with mashed potatoes and vegetables

Asian Style Pulled Pork- with rice noodles, shitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, beef broth and hard boiled egg
